Our speakers
Phil Elks works for the School Standards Group at the Department for Education. He is a regular keynote speaker at national phonics events, including Pearson’s own phonics conference – Reading by Six – in June 2011.
Dr Marlynne Grant is one of the UK’s foremost educational psychologists and creator of the proven Sound Discovery programme for teaching phonics. She is also author of Rapid Phonics – a proven phonics catch-up programme that launches in 2012.
Angela Westington, HMI has years of experience as a school inspector and undertook research for Ofsted into how the best schools improved phonics teaching and literacy.
